Day 61,62,63 Of Phuket!

Hellllllllloooo Everyone!(2days till my bdaYYY(19))
so monday, i stayed home. computer tv, computer tv, supper, computer sleep!
Tuesday; me and the girls went to patong!! when we got there we played a game of soccer, then we saw Aam and he invited me and the girls up to his place with everyone, bc they didnt have to work today bc itwas really windy and w/e so we went up the mtn and hung out with the guys, we had smoked fish& listened to some guitar reminded me of hanging out by the bonfire on a summer night:( but it was alot of fun, we walked up to the view Aam let me take a pic this time:p. and then a little later like around 5 we went to this hott spa it was amazing, there was a sauna but it was like lemon or something i dunno how to explain made my skin soo soft, and there was a hott tub but the water was like cold had the jets and everything tho! we listened to music and danced it was a awesome time!! after that we went to subway, we were craving forang food!! haha and i love subway! its werid i think from being in the sauna. i lost weight so werid! we got a tuktuk back to karins and then katies mom picked us up!!
Wednesday; i jus chilled today.. watched 2 movies, sisterhood of the traveling pants and 8mile! talked to aam katie and karin!! ate supper and went to rotary. tn at the meeting they gave me a present:) a little thai dish so cool!!:) i sent some emails, now im talkin on msn and soon ill go to bed.. tmr im celebrating my bday!!! WOOO cant wait!

Hello All, sorry my updateing is lacking, today is my only chance that ive got to update in a few days, ither way here they are!
Thursday, nothing happened i mean i was home all day and then my family came home and i ate supper, watched tv..went to bed? exciting.. not!
Friday, me and katie went to patong again!! wOOO so much fun like always, we saw the boys agian got some free seadoos rides today:P Aam took me out, and chiwit took katie out, we relaxed on the beach and jus hung out with the guys, we played tacour&soccer! we had to go back to town, because i was invited to a party with, Relatives of my host family now, Tan& prim and thier parents, it was relatives of them that had the party, it was so cool we had dinner and thier daughter(jip went on a exchange 3 years ago to NYC) was in a band and they played alot rock it was awesome, even bahabumba!
Saterday, YE Chelsea from BC, in krabi came with her host parents to phuket for the day, i met with them at osihsi sushi bar, and we had lunch really nice family she has!, after that i took chelsea to meet up with the girls at karins, and we got a tuktuk to the bus station and of course went to patong! again so much fun!! we got karin and chels deals on the seadoos and they went out, we met this couple from iran, we played volleyball with them, and the guy even knew how to play tacour!! they were so cool. Aam took me to this amazing view i mean like crazy, overlooking the town of patong, and the beach it was so beautiful, one problem i didnt have my camera he ran and held my hand i didnt even have time to put my sandals on!! ill have to get him to take me again, it was amazing! so we jus relaxed on the beach all day then we had to go back to town to meet with chelseas host parents because they were goin back to krabi, we met them at tesco lotus mall(like walmart) and we ate supper with them, after that they left me karin & katie jus walked around the mall, then karins host dad drove us home, when i got home my host family had company over, they had 4 girls, i really got to know the oldest daughter june(18) she was in canada 4 years ago and new zealand 2 yrs ago, and now living in australia, she goes to boarding school, so shes been around the world! but we made plans to hang out before she goes back to australia, see a movie or something!.
Sunday, Dr.Toranis(tan&prims dad, my host relatives) invited me to the beach at 12, but he didnt come. so i went to lunch with my family at a chinese restraunt and then we went to more relatives of thiers, after that we dropped Na off at his friends and went back home, Dr. Toranis came to get me, and we went to his bosses weekend home(wich had its own beach/gourgous view) thier was 2 medical studnets from germany there too. the tide was out so it was good for swimming, but they invited me back anytime to go swimming/snorkeling in the reifs! cant wait, after that i met katie and karin at the night market, i bought some thai music, and we looked around, ididnt see much i really wanted. after that we jus went home, my weekend was awesome!! were goin to patong again tmr, so i cant waitttt:)
P.S id jus like to point out, that ive been at the beach 4 times and im more tanned in a year in cb or even the most tanned ive ever been!!! i still have a month to go for free beach time!

A Revolution ...What????

Thailands Prime minister Thaksin , left thailand for a confrence in New York, for a UN general assembly, thailands military took this oprotunity to overthrow his power and take over thailand untill a new PM is elected. Thaksins family, has left the country to singapore, and Thaksin and his family arent allowed back into the country, In case he comes back in, the military have tanks and soliders on foot with guns patrolling all around bangkok. Deputy Prime Minister Surakiart Sathirathai said that the supreme commander of Thailand's armed forces -- Gen. Ruengroj Mahasaranont -- would be in charge of Bangkok. Tanks and troops patrolled Bangkok early Wednesday after the army said the military was taking control.Police were closing stores and directing traffic off Bangkok streets.
The coup plotters declared martial law and suspended the constitution of the Southeast Asian nation. They also declared Wednesday a holiday, with schools, banks and the country's stock market closed.Troops on the streets of the Thai capital had yellow ribbons on their weapons, a sign of loyalty to the nation's king, to whom the coup plotters proclaimed their loyalty.Former Prime Minister Chuan Leekpai told AP that Thaksin had forced the military to act. Thailand poloticians dont support any kind of coup, but during the past five years, the government of Thaksin created several conditions that forced the military to stage the coup. Thaksin has caused the crisis in the country. At least four tanks and a number of armored vehicles were stationed around the royal palace in Bangkok. Soldiers apparently were setting up roadblocks, and what appeared to be members of the royal guard surrounded the palace.Troops on the streets of the Thai capital had yellow ribbons on their weapons, a sign of loyalty to the nation's king, to whom the coup plotters proclaimed their loyalty.Two tanks were parked outside the government headquarters, which houses Thaksin's office.There have been 17 coups in Thailand since World War II, and rumors of an 18th have been circulating around Bangkok in recent weeks as Thaksin battled considerable pressure to step down. So everyone im fine, its mostly situated in bangkok, today schools are back on, and rotary hasnt warned me or even shown any warning of whats happening, even my host family arnt worried, phuket is pretty far from bangkok, and its seems to be coming to a end. For Safety of Thailands citizens, thier is a curfue for people to stay in thier homes no later than sunset, while soldiers walk the streets.
Thiers even news of the thai dollar crashing, so my cdn dollar will be worth alot more! the UN also declared a warning for all tourists to flee the country and go home, also avoiding them from entering as well!

So day 55& 56 Of phuket

Hello Everyone,
Tuesday, katie and i went shopping in town, i bought some shorts, a goalie jersey,a and a tacour ball!!! tacour is a thai sport, a little bit like volleyball/hackysac. after that jack met up with us and we went to a movie, saw "seasons change" its a thai movie, about temple schools(like phuket wit my school) and international schools. its kinda making fun , but halirous if u know what they mean, like you canadians wouldnt appriciate it bc your not in the thai school system. anyway after that jack drove us home, on the way home thier was a beautiful sunset that katie captured, ill put some up when i get one from her:P! i couldnt get my camera quick enuff.
Wednesday, well today we were supposed to go to patong, but as you canadians back home found out a day before i did, thailands goverment has been taken over by the military. (wich i have more info on) but anyway katies mom said to wait it out, and see what happens so i went back to sleep, then my brothers called me from home, woundering if i was alive, i am otherwise u wouldnt be reading this! anyway so katies host mom was goin into phuket town, so they picked me up aswell. well if u knew how busy it was on a regular day, u would be shocked like i was , phuket town was deserted, jus a few cars, everyone was infront of thier t.Vs waiting to see what was happening. Thai people have been waiting for this day. after that we went back to katies and went swimming at the pool, then went back to her house ate spagetti, and i made garlic bread for us:P then we played some badminton and went for a walk, also my Counsler came and dropped off my rotary jacket, when i moved to my new family i had left it in her car. katies mom was goin back into town so i got a ride home, when i got home , i went on msn, and i met some new YEs, two of the guys are coming to phuket, next month we exchanged #s and well meet up, cant wait! after that is was jus bed for me!~

Day 54 Of phuket!

everyone today im am super enthused to tell to my story/adventures of today!!! plans were made last night wiht my friend katie(from germany YFU, not Rotary) to go to patong, i would meet her at phuket shoping center, wich is like a market type deal but inside, close to the famous city market/buss station. i met with katie at 9;00. Her host mom, dropped us off at the bus station, and we payed 20baht(both ways 40baht, wish is about $1.25 haha) sooo we got in patong, and katie never had time to eat breafast this morning so, we went to a coffe/subway restraunt and got thai style cappacinos, and she got her pastries for breakfast!. after that we went to the bank so i could get some cashhh flow$$ and then hit the beachhh!!! we got our chairs and walked the beach for a bit, we met some guys, that were selling parasailing. ive always wanted to and now was my chance, i got a good deal(of course, if u ever come to phuket, never pay what thier asking its not a good price BARGAIN!! and not jus phuket, all tourist spots) it was amazinggg, but i felt at one point i was slipping thru the harness, but it was jus the feeling of going higher!! awesome tho!!! katie didnt go just me(thanks for the pictures:)
So after that we ran to the water, and went swimming. the water was amazing nice and warm;). after swimming we talked to a few locals, and got us a sweet deal for a jetski, 300 baht 2people, 4omins!!! thier asking deal 2000baht, 30mins. we are good!!! the jetski was awesome, i drove and i drove fastt, waves were big so alot of fun!! after the jetski, a friend i met earlier Bou& his friend, took me surfing, he gave me freee lessons!! hard at first, but i was surfing in no time, jus need invest in a board!! mom/dad??? surfing was like snowboarding a little harder to stand up tho! After that we went to a restraunt and ate lunch, we took some of back on the beach and jus relaxed. After that some of the locals were playing soccer against a few guys from japan for $$, i asked to play, but i could because it was a bet. After that like 20 of us played it was awesome, my team was wearing shirts and the other team wasnt(all guys except me) all the forangs(foriengers) were watching and cheering, while i was playing, katie was getting surf lessons from my new friend beu;s, friend haha. after that we went to check the bus schedule, to make sure we wouldnt miss our way home! after that we said bye to our new friends and headed on back to phuket town. once we got in phuket our drive wasnt gettin us till 7;00 so we had time to shop in the market and grab some coffee. it was so much fun!!! when i got home iate supper& and watched tv, chelsea from krabi called me, we seriously talked till our batteries went out. she needed help with her rents back home so i talked to them on msn(reminded me of mine in some ways haha) all in all it was a awesome dayyyy:)

Day 52, & 53 Of phuket

so saterday, nothin really happend. jack was supposed to come over at 3 to help me with my thai, and so he called me and couldnt find the house, sure enuff 2 hrs later he still didnt find my house, i was even waiting at the drive way, the 7/11 close by and he said he drove to the aquarium wich is after my house so he had to drive past it at least twice, anyway he gave up bc it was so hot haha my directions were fine, i have no idea how he couldnt find it! so for the rest of the night we ate supper and watched tv!
Sunday, i woke up at 11, and went out to a seafood restraunt with the host fam! food was awesome, had garlic&spiced squid and fish with rice!! yumm.
after that we went to my host parents plant farm,and then droped nida off at home then na off at a friends, and me and my host mom went back to the plant farm, picked up my host dad and thier friend and looked for more land, to make another plant farm! i got to see alot of phuket today, and some beautiful senic photes of the city, chalong bay, and Rayan beach. after that we ate supper, i called katie and we made plans to go to patong tmr for swimming and fun stuff cant wait!!! after that i was jus on msn talkin to some YE;s from another district im trying to attend some trips with them, bc my district sucks and only has one trip. so i emailed the guy in control of the trips hoepfully ill be able to attend the mtn tour in november!!

Day 51 of Phuket

today, i didnt go to school. and i got to sleep in till 9 ..wow usually thats early for me back in canada but here its me sleeping in!during the day i didnt do much of course, notmuch to do except watch tv. later i walked to the store and watched more tv, and around 6 katie/karin called me to meet them at a restraunt and after that we would go to the technological college and watch some bands compeat, nothing like the local shows back home im used too, i mean from sequens to black/chains thiers a bigg difference, haha not including the lyrics. but it was funn(sanook!) i wanted to dance, but no1 was dancing jus sitting in chairs almost like a a school concert and u jus watch them. i met alot of cool people tn, and i got alot of hellos and even a few handshakes/smiles wow eh! haha people jus wanna know who i am and where im from i guess! after that my host mom picked us up karin/katie needed a ride, and i got nagged at for not planning anything before i left, and how my family has no time for me, i shouldnt problyy be in this family if they dont have time, i can see it getting worse. anyway when i got home, i jus went on the computer, the lady isnt staying here tn, so i can watch some tv or something, anyway, untill tmr

Day 48, 49,50 of Phuket

So hello everyone,
im sorry for the past 3 days, my life wasnt that intresting here so ill jus combine them all into one, tuesay... my friend jack was supposed to come see me, but he got in accident, hes ok thank god tho, he was supposed to come at 5, and by 6;30 i figured he god lost, so while waiting i played monoply singapore edition with my host brother na, and host sister nida! it was fun, after the game i figured something happend and called him, sure enuff thats what happened, hes ok tho. and for school, this week is pretty boring bc my class has to write thier final tests and the next two weeks thier exams and then school break. so most of my time was spent sleeping haha or learning thai with jack. i didnt go to school thursday and im not gonna go friday. thursday a dentist friend of my host mom came from bangkok(tho my host mom is still in bangkok on business) which i think i will have to share a room with her, i dunno i like sleeping alone so this will be weird sleeping with some1 i dont know, but w/e . i miss everyone so much, thats it so far, untill tmR.. sawatdeekha!

Saterday;
so i stayed over karins, and we woke up pretty early at 8;00 we got showered. jack called me we talked for a bit, he was on the bus to surit thani for the weekend so it was hard to hear em. anyway karins host dad dissapeared for a while, and we found him, and went out for some breakfast. after breakfast me and karin got our bags packed for the day, and we were on our adventure to patong for the day. so we got in patong around 12 and we did some walking around talkin to everyone as we passed by all the stores we even met a new friend kuma, he was super funny, and short, but he thought he was taller than me haha. So Patong is the more popular place in phuket for tourists to vacation. here u see the most western restraunts and bars and people, and everyone on the beach getting some sun. its a little annoying sometimes being in patong because everyone thinks im a tourist and 100s of people who own business make u try and buy thier crap lol. anyway after a little walking we bought our tickets for our Andanam Safari tour, the tour started at 1;30. So our tour guide picked us up, a couple from korea went too, so the first part of our tour was to see a gibbon plantation, gibbions are a sorta like a monkey, but not in the species of monkey. the plantation brings the gibbons in and quarnteins them and sets them back free on a remote island so thier is no danger in loss of thier species. after that we went to bangpae waterfall, we were actually lucky to see the waterfall, beacuse it has rained the past week, in the high season there wouldnt be a waterfall because it hardly ever rains.After the waterfall, i got to see what ive been dying to see long before i came here to thailand.... yup A elephant!!! we rode the elephant into the jungle i got to sit on its heaD!! it was so cool, and we got a cute thai guy helping us with the elephant. so a little bit of history on the asian elephant, indian elephants are the same species, but the african elephant is much bigger its 500 killos where a asian elephant is 300killos. asian elephants live till thier 60 years and carry thier babies 10months. after we rode the elephant, we saw a monky show, it was so cool he would shake our hands play basketball, understand numbers, he even went swimming, monkeys dont like water! and we even saw a baby elephant show, he stood on his two front feet and on his two back feet, and he played the harmonica!! so cool!
After that we went canoeing in a river, is was so peacefull i almost feel asleep, again we had another cute thai guy, paddling for us:P haha after that we ate dinner, and headed back to patong, we said by to our korean friends and tour guides, and stayed in patong and jus got to check out the nightlife, we were there long we came home about 11, and then i got picked up at karins, it was a awesome day i had some much fun!!!!

Sunday;
well sunday was a typical sunday, where ya jus relax, i woke up late, around 11 got showered, i was supposed to go to kathys little brothers bday party but i had no ride in, so i jus watched tv, went on the computer and jack called to chat, he was coming back to phuket, he had a good trip. then we ate supper, and i went back on the compter and im soon probly gonna go watch some tv, school tmr.. yuck!! untill tmr!

Day 45 of phuket

Friday;
so this morning , it was pouring like mad, i got to sleep in till 8; 20 wich was sweeet. at 9;00 boonrit, from my club picked me up and we went to the phuket immigration office and tanit and karin where there. we got our visas, and were legal citizens/tourists lol, and after july 1, we will have no trouble ever entering or leaving thailand, untill july as a exchange student , when every i leave the country i have to go there before and get a stamp, other wise id have to do all the paperowork again. so i had to get passport photos taken, and it was this little building behind the office, and when i was goin there, i cut my foot on the door, and tanit was pulling me and running so we wouldnt get soaked from the rain haha, it hurt but i lived. after all that we were supposed to go to the district officer, but the rain was way too heavy and the roads were flooded, it was nuts, so i jus went back home, i didnt have to go to school:) yayyy. so now im jus talkin to my mexican sisttaa titi, after that i watched tv for a while, and then got the choffer to drive me to karins, and then me karin and kathy(shes from germany) got a tuktuk to ocean mall, and did some shopping, then ate supper at this pizza restraunt(not as good as home at all) anyway after that kathy had to go home, so me and karin did some more shopping and jus mingled with the locals and had a coffee, we decided to walk home, and we walked pretty far out of town, her house was farther than we both thought,so we got a ride home on a scooter taxi the rest of the way, and i was stayin at her house for the night so we jus watched tv, and chilled then hit the hay for our exciting day we have planned for tmr.
