Trip to Phangnga

so we had a late start today but we got the whole family in the car and drove 1hr 1/2 and went to the next province close by for the day. At first we went to this boat pier, but looked a little sketchy to say the least.. so we decided to find another peir. grandmas and all hoped in the boat to the famous "james bond island" where in one of the movies was filmed (not sure which one tho, cant say im a huge fan) with limestone slate cliffs and chrystal green waters surely took my breath away. after that we did a like sea kayaking in and out thru caves in mid ocean, and around some of the beautiful coast, i was sure to get some great photography in! After that we drove over to a muslim fishing village, to have a great seafood lunch. to end the day we did a little bit of shopping and saw a beatiful sunset on the way home!

this is a beautiful restraunt, boat lagoon and resort. this is my 2nd time here, very $$ if u dont have connections:P my host dad can go to alot of places free, bc of his business. he owns his own printing shop called "phuket offset printing" and sometimes he offers half the price of his usual customers for some kind of use of thier service, here was free dinner!

this parade, is to kick off the soccer tournament, wich im playin in aswel!:) our class was dress for the 60's style and i was marilyn monroe. it was a fun day:)

Every week i go and volenteer at the orpahnge, there is about 60 kids all together, thier not all orphans but there is a few. before it used to be a place where the mothers who were in prison put thier children if they were pregnant. but now its a daycare mixed as well. the kids are so loving and so cute too. some of my daily chores there are watching the kids & making sure they dont get into fights or anything, also get them lunch and help pass it out, another is after lunch bath them and help them get dressed for bed. when they have nap time we have a break, and then we come back and jus play with them till thier parents come. i love it there, but its not funded by the government only by donations.

there was so many people here for the birthday, all of bas friends and friends of my host parents aswell, they had bbq, spagetti and chips that i made, french fries, pop and all sorts of good stuff. the best part was the cake:) haha it was so good!

my new years was celebrated at home with a bbq and relatives of my host family, and around 7;30 air picked me up and went to manepeens hotel, we planed to stay there for the countdowm, but it wasnt exciting so we jus left. later chelsea called me and we did the countdown together haha. yes over the phone.

so karins family came to phuket, we showed them phuket town, patong, all the other beaches and jus relaxed at the hotel for some swimming.

its been awhile, so here she is!

Hello Everyone!!!!
my mood right now is ever so excited, why might you ask? well many reasons! first of all, the internet guy from TOT finally came and fixed the internet at home. lots of updates for all you curious readers. Also right now ive been on break and jus been relaxing, the other YE's(karin) parents came to phuket so i have been showing them the ropes. the past two weeks it has been pretty fun here with this family, i went to phuket zoo. saw a tiger, elephants, monkeys, exotic birds, a alagator show, and all sorts of different wildlife here in phuket. We also took a two day/1night trip to krabi province, it was so much fun we went to 4 islands, went snorkling, swimming and saw so many beautiful islands. My parents are goin to chaing mai this thursday untill sunday, im staying at the hotel with karin and her parents. should be exciting. i was sick for two weeks with really bad pains in my left side of my stomach, it was constant for the two weeks, i went to the hospital got so many drugs and did a few tests, but of course the doctors had no idea what was really wrong with me. anyway im fine now but im sure the pain will come back again. lorne and mary are coming next month on the 14th, so i cant wait to show them around. i am absolutly in love with thailand and i have no idea what i will do when i have to leave this beautiful island. My thai has gotten better and better daily , the difficult part is the writing. i miss my friends and family so much.
